Vintage Franz-Josef Strauss figure dressed in Lederhose on a beer barrel. Made of solid rubber in 1970's, marked HE. 77 on the barrel. Approximately 8 inches tall in good condition showing slight signs of wear throughout, figure comes off the barrel.
Franz-Josef Strauss was a German politician. He was the long-time chairman of the Christian Social Union (CSU) in Barvaria from 1961 until 1988, a member of the federal cabinet from 1953 - 1969, and minister president of the state of Bavaria from 1978 until 1988.
